Default Home network email.

I was thinking earlier about putting the files for my e-mail, favourites et.c. on to our network drive. In such away that I could use my e-mail account from any networked PC in the house. Is this easy to do, and what files would I have to move or set to look to the network drive?

Standard Outlook express.

Just wanted to put the .DBX files etc on the network and tell our various PC's to look there for them.

I tried this before with very limited success eventually (after not so long the files were corrupted) and I lost everything

I've done it once before. It did work but a day later I migrated from OE to Outlook so I can't vouch for the stability of it.

In OE you go to Tools/Options and click on the Maintenance tab. Then click on the Store Folder button. This will show the location you are currently using.
You just need to click on the Change button and navigate to the network drive and folder. To save the changes you'll need to exit and restart OE.

You might want to move the .DBX files after you've set up the new path in case OE creates new files and overwrites anything that's already there.
